The Moloko New Testament Dedication in February!

The Moloko New Testament Dedication in February!
Over 20 years ago we were translating the Gospel of Mark in the village in Cameroon.

Lessons from the Garden

In order for there to be fruit or produce from seed that is sown, Jesus taught clearly that the problem of weeds must be addressed (Matthew 13:7). Here's another lesson from my four weeks working on my dad's farm this past summer.

My father's farm in Oregon, where I grew up, was very fertile and so it was great for gardening, but the weeds grew up uninvited. In our individual lives we each must remain vigilant to every enticing thing that can draw our hearts from accomplishing God's purpose for our lives.

Unforgiveness: believing lies about God, myself, and others - and so many other 'weeds' that we need to eliminate when they are small, so that they don't become big overwhelming issues. Be free in Christ (Galatians 5:1).

Who will join us in February for the Moloko New Testament Dedication?

We have been informed that the dedication of the Moloko New Testament will happen in northern Cameroon, on February 21, 2027. My children and a couple of friends are going with me. Many of you have walked with us and supported us over the years, and I want to invite YOU to join us in seeing the fruit of what God started and is now come to fruition. The trip will be about ten days to two weeks (Feb. 12-23). It won't be an easy trip with the hot climate, and yet what a celebration!

  • Please pray for the Moloko leaders as they prepare for this day.
  • Pray God will use His Word to transform a people.
  • Pray for wisdom for me to know how I can assist and help from afar - and that God would be glorified. Thirty years after we started work among the Moloko people, He has done great things!

Let me know if you want you join this trip (possibly by October 31st). I plan on meeting with the travel group (virtually where necessary) so we can pray together about how we might bless the Moloko during our visit and discuss logistics.

Thanks for your partnership - let's keep praying!

Please pray for my work with Wycliffe - that God would open new opportunities to work with language communities in the two Congos and that He would give me wisdom to communicate clearly with our field partners.

Thank You for your part in making this work possible - for your prayers and many who give monthly. I could not do this work without your partnership!
